Séminaire / Recherche
On July 4, 2019
With the presence of Julien Francq, head of the "Software Solutions Development" team at Airbus Cybersecurity, the Grenoble Alpes Cybersecurity Institute is organizing an exceptional presentation on Thursday 04/07 from 10:00 to 12:00 in room 206 of the IMAG building.
Many applications (e.g. RFID, IoT...) require to embed lightweight cryptography, i.e. cryptography with lower integration cost into hardware and software platforms.
This talk aims to recall the criteria of light cryptography, and will motivate the proposal of a new lightweight authenticated encryption algorithm named Lilliput-AE. This algorithm is based on an encryption primitive, Lilliput, published in 2016 with Prof. Thierry Berger, Marine Minier and PhD student Gaël Thomas, that we modified slightly to be compatible with the requirements of NIST, and to which we added an authentication layer. We will give first results of hardware and software implementations, and will sketch the case of protected implementations against the physical attacks on component.
