Financial support for PhD Students

In our ongoing commitment to supporting the academic pursuits of doctoral candidates in the realm of cybersecurity, CyberAlps introduces the Thesis Environment Grant Program. Recognizing the financial challenges that doctoral researchers may face even with existing funding, this initiative aims to provide additional support to scholars already engaged in cutting-edge research. Each grant, valued at €5000, is specifically designed to assist these researchers in acquiring essential equipment, facilitating travel for conference and seminar attendance, and fostering an enriched research environment. The Thesis Environment Grant Program operates on a monthly evaluation cycle, with applications reviewed during the steering committee meetings.

Grant Application Process:

To apply for the Thesis Environment Grant, candidates are required to submit the following documents for consideration at the monthly committee meeting:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV): A comprehensive resume detailing academic and professional accomplishments.

  2. Detailed Thesis Proposal: An in-depth overview of the research topic, objectives, and methodology.

  3. Funding Request Letter: A personalized letter outlining the current financial backing for the doctoral thesis and a prospective budget detailing how the grant will be utilized.

Successful candidates will be notified promptly, and the grant funds will be disbursed accordingly.
