Cybersecurity and AI

 

With the resurgence of Deep Learning in recent years, AI can now achieve far more complex tasks than ever before and is spreading rapidly to many of our daily applications, sometimes improving drastically their efficiency, but also handling large amount of customer data in order to achieve such results. The Cybersecurity Institute studies the relationship between AI and Cybersecurity from two angles:

• AI for security, i.e. how machine learning can be used as a tool in order improve the resilience of critical systems
• security of AI, i.e. the new security challenges raised by the use of machine learning
