Karine Bannelier, Deputy Director of CyberAlps, was a guest on Radio France Internationale's "Debate of the Day" podcast.

She spoke as an expert in the March 6th 2024 episode : "Should hackers be hacked?"

Here's a summary of the episode:

"It's an increasingly important global issue in the context of geopolitical tensions: cyber attacks are on the rise and pose a threat to upcoming major events such as the Paris Olympics. Confronted with this, the response is intensifying, as illustrated by the recent dismantling of Lockbit, considered to be one of the most active gangs in the world, in an operation involving eleven countries. What approach should be adopted to combat cybercrime? Should we stay within the legal framework, with the risk of limited action, or use methods similar to those used by hackers, with the aim of total security? How can we avoid being left behind?"
