Flyer

The entire CyberAlps team would like to wish you all the best for the New Year.
We are delighted to invite you to a new cybersecurity breakfast, on Wednesday January 24th 2024, in the IMAG auditorium from 9am to 11am.

What's on the agenda?

1. The debate on data anonymisation through the prism of the CRU v. EDPS (CJEU) case, by Alexandre Lodie, post-doc, INRIA
"The Court of Justice of the European Union (Court of First Instance) handed down a controversial decision last April in which it was held that the classification of data as personal or not depended on the recipient's ability to re-identify it. This so-called relative approach calls into question the scope of European data protection law and runs the risk of European citizens losing control over their data".

2. The impossible definition of anonymisation in computing, by Cédric Lauradoux, researcher, INRIA
"Re-identification is a science that has made great progress over the last twenty years. It has an impact on all data protection techniques. Future advances (AI, quantum computers, etc.) will also see re-identification evolve. This raises the question of whether it is (im)possible to achieve the level of requirement required by regulations for data to be considered anonymised. "
