[HDR DEFENSE] David Hely accreditation to supervise research

on the January 25, 2019

On Friday 25th January 2019 (10:00am), Dr David Hély will defend his accreditation to supervise research (in french Habilitation à diriger des recherches) entitled "Security of Embedded Systems: Role and importance of the target device".
Although physical devices are known to offer strong security guarantees, they can also provide attackers with opportunities to circumvent theoretically secure designs. David will present an overview of his work on the design of secure integrated circuits, the authenticity and integration of system components and the hardware support for software security. David will also explore the future of his research: the design of tools and circuits for a better consideration of potential hardware vulnerabilities during hardware and software developments; the use of hardware security modules by software developers.

The jury will be composed of:
  • Pr. Guy Gogniat - University Bretagne Sud
  • Pr. Régis Leveugle – Grenoble INP
  • Pr. Lionel Torres – University of Montpellier
  • Dr. Vincent Beroulle – Grenoble INP
  • Pr. Lilian Bossuet – University Jean Monnet - Saint Etienne
